Slim and not wasted

There isn’t a quick-fit for your rejuvenation, you can’t squeeze it from a tube. A better lifestyle is the best cosmetic.

Last week I stayed in a hotel in Tokyo. Last year I visited 12 different hotels as Go-To-Travel. Some new hotels have opened in Tokyo this year and I found a hotel with a modern vibe near Ginza Kabuki-za. My goodness, it was about 5000 yen, even though it was not Go-To Travel!

These days, hotels have evolved and are more like homes than hotels. Wardrobes have been replaced by hanging racks on the walls, fridges have glass doors like a bar so I can see what’s inside and there are hanging wooden shelves with stylish electric kettles, glass, and ceramic cups. There is a washbasin next to the desk. No doors and no steps made it feel less oppressive.

There is a no bath, only a shower booth. Is it made of special plastic instead of tiles? Both the toilet and the shower room look modern and minimal.

The TV is of course flat screen and hanging on the wall. It’s also nice to have a window that can be opened. The blinds convert from thin fabric to blackout as if by magic, I was amazed at how technology has evolved. 17 square meters is a very lean design yet it feels spacious.

I took selfies as usual in a hotel room where there is no wasted space. I chose a place with a background like my room and made a peace sign. It’s been a long time since I took a selfie without wearing a mask. I found my face was slim and not wasted. Compared to my 2020 Go-To Travel photos from this time last year, I’m looking younger!

My weight is the same, but my face is a size smaller. A face of a night owl who eats out, and a face of morning person who cooks for me. There’s a clear difference! I knew my face was getting less swollen and my blemishes were fading but I was amazed at the size of my face difference! Even though my cosmetics are now usually Muji and cheaper! I kind of became a post-pandemic, “Benjamin Button”.

I realized once again that it is effective to review my life habits. Before buying expensive cosmetics, it is important to reconsider your lifestyle so that you can bring out your true potential. There is still a lot of potential in you.
