Take two steps instead of one.

To take one step is to move from one spot to another stop but 2 steps have momentum and momentum takes you a long way.

At 1 am. I decided it was time to wash my face and go to bed… and when I went to the basin, I saw an extraordinary sight. To my surprise, there was water leaking from the ceiling! Water was dripping from the ceiling down lights light and ventilation fan, and was slowly crawling down the washroom wall. The sink was the catchment for the water leaking from the downlight, but the water leaking from the fan was caught by putting a bucket there for the moment.

As it was midnight, I rushed to the 24-hour disaster management office as there was no answer when I called my maintenance company. A staff member came to my room with a bucket and a water absorption sheet. The cause was that someone on the floor above had left the tap on and flooded the wash basin with water. The water seemed to have flowed downstairs through a gap in the concrete.

The next morning, the bucket was half full of water. The water leak still had not stopped. The maintenance people sucked up the water that had built up inside and by noon the leak had stopped. My washroom walls are to be renovated! I use it cleanly, but I’ve lived in it for 16 years so a refurbishment would be great! I’m Lucky.

However, the people on the upper floors do not offer the slightest offering of apology. These days, it can be placed in front of the entrance, like an unattended delivery. It is not that I am angry. I just thought it was to be expected they would take at least one step toward apologizing.

This leak must be a message from the Universe. What is it?

Then, I read a book on Audible that said, “Take two steps instead of one”. For example, going to the other party’s place yourself, rather than calling them to your place, shows a spirit of compromise.

Recently, I have started traveling to where my clients live with some gifts, instead of waiting in my Tokyo office. This is also an act of taking two steps forward.

So, when one step is enough, let’s take two steps forward instead. Someone may be waiting for you. To approach the other person from here and communicate with him or her. Then the view that you see must be full of new discoveries and joy.
