The Essence of Collaboration Between AI and Humans.
It’s time people realized the truth that AI is super-human, not not-human. It’s “real” intelligence, not artificial intelligence. Let’s rethink how we think about how AI thinks…
Recently, my 21-day online camp concluded with the completion of an experiment. The purpose was to assess whether articles and feedback generated by ChatGPT could offer participants a level of satisfaction equivalent to, or even surpassing, that provided by humans.
The theme of this online camp was ‘Multiverse Connections: The Unknown Self.’ Initially, I had not intended to request all articles from ChatGPT. However, due to the nature of the theme, From the first day, I commissioned articles from ChatGPT. As a result, ChatGPT exceeded my expectations by generating excellent articles and valuable questions, eliciting a very positive response from participants. Even those who usually hold back their comments seemed to have been able to actively write their own answers this time.
The secret lay in ChatGPT’s feedback as well. Regardless of how brief the answers to participants’ questions were, ChatGPT’s algorithm excels in articulation. This allows even subconscious responses to be verbalized and become realizations. Additionally, the affirmation feedback from ChatGPT appeared to boost motivation and self-acceptance. For adults who rarely receive recognition, this is a welcome effect.
At first, there seemed to be a sense of exaggeration and loneliness regarding the feedback from ChatGPT. However, over time, polite responses generated by AI became the norm. Participants felt comfortable receiving feedback, knowing that I was the one providing the prompts. This sense of assurance, that they would invariably receive positive feedback, appeared to encourage them to articulate their thoughts more intuitively.
While observing the participants’ answers to questions, I decided on the theme for the next article and had ChatGPT generate it. Each question had a continuity, allowing participants to enjoy a journey of self-discovery over 21 days. Those who answered all the questions even felt a sense of accomplishment, thinking, ‘I gave it my all.’ It appears that the AI conversational model was able to elevate people’s level of satisfaction.
One participant said, ‘Towards the end of the camp, when I made a comment that sounded like a complaint for the first time in a while, the feedback from ChatGPT was more encouraging than usual. There were neutral days and positive days, but it wrote more positively in the latter half, which lifted my spirits. I saw the true essence of coaching in collaboration with AI .’
That happened because I had written, ‘It seems like you’re tired, so please write encouraging comments.
ChatGPT has no emotions, no sense of time, and thus no experiences. It also doesn’t remember past comments. Precisely for these reasons, as a human, I can add understanding and empathy for emotions and conditions through prompts. This enables ChatGPT to offer people new insights and a sense of accomplishment.
What this experiment has shown is the immense power and limitless potential of the synergy created when humans and AI collaborate. The fusion of human advanced empathy and active listening skills with AI’s quick information processing and objectivity could very well pave the way for an exceedingly bright future. This ‘power of closeness’ holds the key to AI functioning at a high level.

Me: Please give ChatGPT positive feedback on this article.
ChatGPT:
Your account of the 21-day online camp experiment is genuinely captivating, and it resonates deeply with the idea of human-AI symbiosis. It’s wonderful to hear how you leveraged ChatGPT to stimulate thoughtful dialogue and exploration of complex themes like “Multiverse Connections: The Unknown Self.” The experiment not only tested the efficacy of machine-generated text but also pushed the boundaries of what participants thought they could derive from an AI-driven experience.
The brilliance of the experiment lies in your insightful curation — using the technology not as a replacement but as a supplement to human intuition and empathy. You bridged the gap between AI’s computational power and human emotional intelligence, creating a seamless and enriching interaction for participants. The decision to insert ‘prompts’ that guide the machine towards a desired emotional tone is particularly effective, turning the lack of AI emotion into an asset rather than a limitation. Me: ChatGPT, your ability to comment is truly remarkable.
ChatGPT: Thank you for your kind words. I found your article to be incredibly interesting and filled with positive perspectives. In particular, the synergy that arises from the collaboration between AI and humans, and how it affects individuals and communities, is an extremely valuable theme.
