The ideal input/output routine.
Kant’s “free will” is not the will to do what one wants to do, but the will to do what is right, what one has freely decided to do.
In 2021, I suddenly decided to become a morning person and cook for myself, which has become a sustainable habit, because I feel rejuvenated like Benjamin Button. So, as I spent more time creating a new lifestyle than working, I didn’t release any new content at work.
But suddenly, in my first English lesson of 2022, my mission was announced to me by my English teacher. The idea is “ Silky Solutions to Sticky Situations”. My mission is to make the world a happier place by increasing the number of people who can give silky feedback. As for specific actions, I would like to give silky lectures, hold silky examinations and write about “SSSS 2022".
One day, while watching my favorite YouTube channel, I found a review of “The Daily Routine of Geniuses”, which I had read five years ago, and was amazed at how the presenter summed up the patterns of the Geniuses in the book in a few words.
They wake up early, have a cup of coffee, breakfast, work, lunch, then go out for a walk or to run errands. Most of the time they come home in the evening, have dinner, relax and go to bed. That’s what the presenter calls the “ Kant type “. To put it more simply: early rise, output, long walk, input, relax, go to bed. The routine of geniuses is almost a pattern. So, according to the Amazon reviews, some people who read this book get bored with it. Well, that’s what a routine is.
I usually did my input and output whenever I wanted, but it seemed to make more sense to do output in the morning and input in the evening so that it seemed more cyclical. During their long walks, Beethoven and Kant must have been downloading from the universe.
In other words, I thought it was important to create not only a habit but also a routine that makes sense to the brain for people to reach their full potential.
I set myself a pattern of “output in the morning, a long walk in the afternoon, input and relaxation in the evening” and tried it for a few days. I could go for a walk without feeling guilty, I could watch YouTube without feeling guilty, and I could relax. I am going to become a genius, I thought.
